What can diydatabase.com offer you ?

• If your company is involved with homeowner/DIY related manufacturing, retailing (e-business or traditional), or Services, the diydatabase.com web site offers you a very efficient targeted marketing opportunity.
• diydatabase.com offers your company promotion by the inclusion of simple text links or banners on its pages.
  Your text links or banners graphics links may be added to any page you choose (other than pages sponsored by other businesses) or, alternatively, 468 x 60 banners can be included in our 'random banner program', as each page is visited, non-sponsored pages will display a random banner - there are no more than 20 banners in the program, so each should be be displayed on 1 in 20 pages downloaded.
  
• Each text or banner can be linked to a www page at the advertisers own web site - for those companies without their own web site, we can provide additional space on our web site to allow full product etc. details.
• diydatabase.com reserves the right to decline to add any advert to any page, typically this right will be enacted to avoid duplicated types of adverts from different advertisers on the same page - so if you are the first advertiser on a particular page with a particular type of business, you need not worry about a similar advert appearing.

Can you choose the page for your advert ?

• Absolutely, you can choose any page for your text or banner (except sponsored pages), home page, index, or data pages.

• Text adverts can be one or more lines long, the important thing is the number of characters, the standard is 25 characters - the link to the URL of your choice can be part or all of the text displayed. Text adverts are normally framed to highlight them, the frame may include the links of more than one advertiser (unless otherwise is requested).

What banner types do diydatabase support ?

• Two banner style are available (width x height):
  1. Horizontal, maximum 468 x 60 pixel
  2. Vertical, maximum actual size 120 x 120 pixel
  Any size within these maximum's can be accommodated.
• Animated gif banners can be accommodated but we do not accommodate Flash animations. We design for fast download times and consider that Flash has too great an effect upon this.
• Usually advertisers supply the banner for inclusion, normally jpeg or gif files. Banners upto 15k computer file size can be accommodated. If required, diydatabase.com can arrange for the production of banners.

What is the fee for adverts ?

As diydatabase.com is a new site, we are accepting adverts at no cost for 12 months from the date of acceptance. As we expand, we will no doubt introduce advertising charges, but once we do so, you will only be asked to renew with a fee after the expiry of your 12 months free period.
